As September arrives, you can count on three things: the leaves will begin to turn, the weather will start to cool, and the blockbusters that dominated movie theaters throughout June, July and August will give way to the eclectic slate of fall films, which range this month from the pre-Halloween horror releases to the first dramas Avatar. Barbarian Home share horror has become a subgenre of its own thanks to films like The Rental and You Should Have Left. Writer-director Zach Cregger's Barbarian is the latest addition, about a young woman who discovers her rental home has been double booked with a stranger (played by Bill Skarsgård). When she decides to stay the night, she makes some unsettling discoveries that were not mentioned in the house listing.
