President Droupadi Murmu will lead the nation in celebrating Republic Day from Kartavya Path, formerly known as Rajpath, in New Delhi. It was on January 26, 1950, when the Constitution came into effect. The Republic Day celebrations include a traditional march past at Kartavya Path comprising a grand parade by the contingents of the Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces.
