Known the world over as a beautiful and historic sporting venue, the Oval attracts visitors in their thousands from within South Australia, interstate and overseas. Along with sports fans, the Oval has enormous appeal to visitors with an interest in history, culture, food and wine, as well as a large contingent of business travellers. Port Adelaide sure know how to put on a show, I think that might be half the reason their diehard supporters go every week and that’s a great thing! I found it a little tricky finding my seat but staff were happy to help. Food and beverages are extremely expensive and stalls aren’t manned with enough staff meaning long queues but I did go on the busiest night Adelaide Oval sees during the AFL season. Staff were very curt with patrons refusing to wear a mask when having left their seat which was good to see as social distancing was impossible.
