Adnan Sami (born 15 August 1971) is a British-born Pakistani singer, musician, music producer, and actor. He is the only child of Pakistani parents. His father, Arshad Sami Khan, was a Pashtun from the Swat Valley who served as a Pakistan Air Force pilot and later as a diplomat. His mother, Naureen, is from Jammu and Kashmir and is of Kashmiri descent. Sami was born in London and raised in Karachi. He began playing the piano at the age of five and gave his first public performance at the age of ten.
