Surah Alam Nashrah Other names for Surah Alam Nashrah include Surah Inshirah and Ash-Sharh. The 94th chapter of the Qur’an is titled Surah Alam Nashrah. This Surah, which consists of 8 verses, is translated as “Solace” or “Peace” in English. It was revealed before the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Makkah to Madina as a Makki surah. This Surah was given to Prophet Muhammad by ALLAH Subhanahu Wata’ Ala to comfort and uplift him. When Islam was initially revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, he endured most of the criticism and insults. He had lost the confidence of his relatives, clan members, and neighbors, who started acting harshly since so many people were still opposed to the Prophet Muhammad and the teachings of Islam. He endured a great deal of difficulty, and the message of this Surah assisted in giving him some solace, although he eventually grew accustomed to this mockery. The Prophet had to bear the brunt of the criticism and abuse when Islam was first revealed to him since people thought of him as crazy. He had lost respect within his own friends, clansmen, and neighbors who began being harsh and hostile towards him. He was openly mocked in the streets as no one in Mecca was receptive to his message. Although he gradually became accustomed to this ridicule he faced a lot of hardship and the message of this Surah helped provide some comfort to him.
