A 60-year-old woman was injured after plaster fell from the roof of the Ambernath Municipal Corporation (AMC) entrance when she was sitting on a chair outside the civic body. The woman had come to AMC to enquire about her pension. "A 60-year-old woman was injured on Tuesday when plaster of the roof fell on her head outside the AMC entrance. She was sitting on a chair near the telephone room at the entrance of AMC when the incident occurred. The injured woman was rushed to the nearby B. G. Chaya sub-district hospital for treatment," informed Sashikant Dayama, a social activist from Ambernath. "The headquarters building of Ambernath civic body has been weakened. A few months ago, part of the entrance had also collapsed but fortunately, there was no damage or casualties at that time. Even after the repair work is done, the current incident of the plaster falling off the roof shows the quality of the work carried out by the AMC administration," said Dayama. The additional chief officer of the AMC Dr Prashant Shelke said, "A retired woman Sanguti Kaslingam (60), who was an employee of the civic body, came to AMC headquarter on Tuesday to inquire about her pension.
