Xtasi / Ecstasy

Description: We bake delicious authentic Italian pizzas with homemade ingredients that are freshly prepared in our kitchen everyday. Our pizzas go up up to three feet in size and have very very generous servings of cheese and toppings. We give you the best value for money without compromising on quality. Our menu has over 75 pizzas, 20 pastas and very delicious salads mostly made from our own recipes. We visited it on our first evening during the Pondy trip as we had read lot of good stuff about the pizzas there. We ordered a mushroom pizza and a paneer pizza - both of small size. As were quite hungry, we thought we also might need to order something else to fill ourselves. But thankfully we waited till the pizza's arrived as the pizza size was so big! Almost the size of medium pizza in any regular pizza outlet. The pizzas were really amazing and as it was cooked in the wood-fire oven, it had a different flavour to it - ,must say the best pizza's me and my wife have ever had!

Cafe Xtasi, White Town, Puducherry

Thin-Crust wood-fired pizzas! The two names in Pondicherry that come to my mind are Tanto and Cafe Xtasi. I have been to Effect of Covid, two major changes here – They do not serve beer here anymore, and they do not have the rooftop open. Though I haven’t been to the rooftop, I have heard it used to be good. The first floor dining isn’t very exciting, but okayish! We settled in one of the tables. The good thing was almost all of the tables were full in about 30-45 minutes after we entered. That restored the faith we had in this place and it was satisfying to see an almost full house. The service started a bit ‘cold’ and improved as time passed. Perhaps the waiter was just starting to get into the groove. He definitely seemed better during the course of the dinner. We ordered a Vegetate Medium Pizza, a Chickenet Party Pizza, and a Mushy Alfredo Pasta. Taste-wise, absolutely no complaints. Both the pizzas were good and tasty. It did seem a bit expensive as the medium was 599 and Party was 849 bucks, I think. Well, they’re a popular name in Pondicherry, and good things come with a price. So I’m not complaining at all. Pasta tasted better than how it looked. We paid about 1.8K in all, good tasty pizzas. An evening well spent ! I still have a feeling I liked I'm a passionate foodie and love eating out as much as I like to write about it. I also love clicking pictures of food, you'll find plenty of them here. This blog is a collection of my experiences of eating out, primarily i...

Hyderabad To Pondicherry Roadtrip : सफरनामा

If you're a roadtrip enthusiast and if the idea of driving on smooth highways surrounded by lush flora excites you , then taking a Hyd to Pondi roadtrip can never be disappointing. Having explored many Getaways around Hyderabad in range 300km-400km, we wanted to stretch some extra miles and take our Roadtrip addiction to next level. Considering the fact that my husband loves car driving , we decided for Pondicherry which is 825 km (Via NH16) away. As they say "Roads were made for journeys, not destination" , our journey became more joyous amidst the nature with great music. We started around 2 A.M, took the Nehru ORR and NH65 towards NH16. I would recommend to take NH16 route and experience travelling on those perfect soothing roads with lush green surroundings. Witnessing the sunrise during our journey was a cherry on the cake. Follow NH16, Chennai ORR and NH32 to your destination in Puducherry. On the way, we could find many Tapris and Food joints for taking a break. We arrived our hotel around 4 P.M. After a journey of long 14 hours, the first thing we wanted was to take a nap. Around 7 P.M we headed towards white town. There are ample of exquisite Cafes in Pondi catering multi cuisine like Italian, Continental. We chose Cafe Xtasi , since we heard a lot about its specialty in Pizzas. Not to our surprise , we had amazing Pizzas and Mocktails over there. And then came my favorite part... Strolling through the streets of the French Quarter and along the Promenade beach, p...

A hot pot of cultures, Puducherry or Pondicherry, however you may like to call it, is one place where a quick weekend will never seem enough – especially when it comes to food. Also Read: Photo courtesy: Dishant Bhasin Here's our current list of places that you might want to check out if Puducherry is on your list of places to visit this month - 1. Auroville Bakery For a taste of fresh baked goods, the Auroville Bakery is a good place to ride up to one of the mornings of your visit to Puducherry. They make croissants, baguettes, pizzas, quiches, tarts, pies and rolls. They also bake breads and cakes, but that's in the afternoon. Also remember, the bakery is closed on Sundays, we'd recommend a mid-week trip because Saturdays might be a little too busy for your comfort. The place is open from about 6.30am to 5.30pm. Address : Douceur, Kuilapalayam Main Road, Auroville 2. Café des Arts Photo courtesy: Dishant Bhasin A cute café for sure; go here to try their crepes. They come in a wide range of savoury and sweet options. So you could either pick one with ham, cheese and tomato, tuna, tomato and onion, or one of our favourites, the banana and nutella crepe, or even one with banana and cinnamon. The café also does quick breakfast combos – coffee and baguette, or the coffee, croissant, served with jam and butter, and fre...
