In order to focus on the overall development of students, Physical Education has been included as the main subject in the National Education Policy (NEP). Being the main part of education process, teachers and students working in this field faced many challenges, mainly in the availability of qualitative course material. Keeping this in mind the present textbook has been composed and designed to cater to the needs of the students. Key Features of the Book: 1- Pictures, line drawings and various examples have been used to make the contents very comprehensible. 2- The questions of different format, viz Objective Type Questions (MCQs, Match the Following, Assertion-Reason, Picture Based and Very Short Answer Type), Short Answer Type Questions-I, Short Answer Type Questions-II, Long Answer Type Questions and Case Based Questions are included in each chapter. 3- Art Integrated Activity, Activity, Do You Know?, etc., are also embedded in the book to make it interesting and informative. 4- The language of the book is easy to understand. 5- The concepts of Physical Education have been explained in clear and simple words/terms, so that the students will be able to assimilate the subject-matter.
