OVERVIEW Description Scarlet-purple new leaves burst from a tidy, low, compact mound of shiny deep green foliage in spring. The entire shrub becomes reddish bronze in fall. A beautiful, natural woodland companion to rhododendrons and ferns, and a superb groundcover. Evergreen. Light Filtered sun, Partial shade, Partial sun Watering Water when top 2 inches of soil is dry. Blooms Spring Mature Size Moderate growing; reaches 2 ft. tall, spreading 3 to 4 ft. wide. CARE Care Thrives in humus-rich, well-drained soils. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Space 2 to 3 ft. apart as groundcover; closer for faster coverage. Feed with an acid fertilizer early spring; repeat after flowering. Keep roots cool with a thick layer of mulch.

The solution is used for scalp problems, the foam is used for mild to moderate plaque psoriasis, the cream, lotion, and spray are used for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, and the foam and shampoo are used for moderate to severe scalp psoriasis. This medicine is a corticosteroid (cortisone-like medicine or steroid).

Clobetasol Propionate Application of clobetasol propionate 0.05% topically bid for up to 4 wk is usually effective. Repeat courses of corticosteroids may be necessary because of the chronic nature of this disorder. Continual application of topical steroids may lead to atrophy of the vulva. • Use of topical testosterone (2%) has been found to be less effective than topical corticosteroids. • Lubricants (e.g., Nutraplus cream) are useful to soothe dry tissues. • Hydroxyzine 25 mg at hs is effective in decreasing nocturnal itching. • Use of intralesional steroids, etretinate, and surgical management are usually reserved for refractory cases. ▪ Dexamethasone 0.1% ▪ Flumethasone ▪ Hydrocortisone 0.1% to 2.0% ▪ The insoluble corticosteroids are sometimes injected. When injected, the drug is slowly released for 3 to 4 weeks. This method of administration is often reserved for refractory lesions. Drugs that are injected include triamcinolone and betamethasone. Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your Use this Wash and dry your hands before applying. Clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in as directed by your doctor, usually 2 times daily. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. After applying the medication, Do not apply more than 50 grams (50 milliliters or 1.75 ounces) in a given week unless directed by your doctor. Doing so increases the risk of serious side effects. Use this medication only for the condition prescribed. Do not use for longer than 4 weeks unless directed by your doctor. If no improvement occurs in 2 weeks of treatment with clobetasol, or if your condition worsens, stop using this medication and inform your doctor.
