Daughter's Day 2021: Daughters are the most beautiful gift by the nature. They say only the luckiest are blessed with a daughter in their family. A girl child who grow up to become someone’s sister, wife or daughter is the one who binds the family together. While every country has it’s own way and day to celebrate their daughters, in India the day is commonly on the last Sunday of the month September. This year (2021) it’s falling on September 26th. In India Daughters are often termed as “Laxmi” the goddess of Wealth, purity and prosperity and thereby the birth of a girl child is widely celebrated. Unfortunately, there are also some places in the country where female foeticide is still practiced, and this is all because some people think that women still possess a lower societal value in compare to men.
