Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Doctor G was released on October 14, 2022 to mediocre reviews. Not only this, but the movie also did poorly at the box office. The film, which was about a male gynaecologist, had some issues with the storyline and narration. Doctor G, directed by Kashyap, is a coming-of-age social drama about a misogynistic gynaecology student played by Ayushmann Khurrana. The film portrays a story of a young male Bhopal medical graduate who ends up pursuing his master's degree in gynaecology for a variety of reasons that are dictated more by his societal conditioning than by his appreciation of the honourable field. One of them is that Ayushmann Khurrana's character Uday Gupta, who thinks his girlfriend used his prestige to further her own. He is confident that a female student would choose his trade over a "masculine" field like orthopaedics because it only appeals to women in his opinion. He can easily find several successful male gynaecologists online, but it is not covered in this lesson. And when he tries to take a break under the pretence of studying for the following year, his honourable teacher Nandini Shrivastava (Shefali Shah) chastises him.
