Dr. arora web series

Excellent performance by Kumud Mishra as dr Arora. However other characters of the series like Firangi etc are not only loud, but to great extent boring all due to bad characterisation and direction. I think director and screenwriter not clear whether to make the series humorous or serious. Theme to give good message is lost due to poor direction and screenplay. It seems Imtiaz Ali has lost his golden touch. My giving 7 rating is only because of great performance by kumud Mishra. Watched Dr. Arora on SonyLIV. Found the show a bit underwhelming. Had expected it to be a sensitive drama about a sexologist and his patients. It instead tries hard to be a comedy drama failing on both the counts. It works best when the lead Kumud Mishra is around. The sub plots fail to engage and drag in places. Watch out for Vidya Malvade though whose track with Kumud Mishra is one of the strong points of Dr. Arora. The show has some lovely music as well. Overall even with all the noble intentions it falters in execution.
