NEW DELHI:Strong earthquake tremors were felt inDelhi-NCR and parts of North India on Tuesday. The earthquake, which struck around 1:30 PM, lasted for a few seconds only. The National Centre for Seismology said that a 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted Doda in Jammu and Kashmir, triggering strong tremors across north India. According to initial reports, earthquake tremors were so strong that they were felt in faraway places like Islamabad, Lahore and adjoining areas in Pakistan. By India Today News Desk: A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck eastern Kashmir around 1:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said. According to preliminary reports, the quake occurred 18 km away from Gandoh Bhalessa village in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, at a depth of 30 km. Strong tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir. The shaking was felt in other parts of north India, including national capital Delhi and its adjoining areas.
