He tendered his resignation within 72 hours of taking oath as a cabinet minister following the pressure from the After assuming charge as education minister on Thursday afternoon, Choudhary met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence and tendered his resignation. According to sources, Nitish asked Mewalal Choudhary to resign. His resignation has been accepted by the governor. The education portfolio has been given to Ashok Choudhary who is also in charge of the Science and Technology Department, Building Construction Department, Social Welfare Department and Minority Welfare Departments. New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday welcomed Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar's interest in studying the "successful" school education system of his government in the city and said the country will progress if the governments learn from each other. The Delhi government will be happy to show its schools to the Bihar education minister and his team when they visit the national capital, he said.
