By PTI CHANDIGARH: Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar was the mastermind behind the murder of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and he had coordinated with gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and some others to execute the killing earlier this year, according to a charge sheet filed by the Punjab Police. After the killing, Goldy Brar, who is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had claimed the responsibility for the act. The Punjab Police had filed a 1,850-page charge sheet, its first in the case, against 24 accused in a Mansa court on August 26. The charge sheet was filed under different IPC sections, including 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 341 (wrongful restraint), 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), and relevant provisions of the Arms Act. Brar, a Canada-based gangster, had allegedly claimed the responsibility for the murder. Moose Wala’s assassination was met with grief from fans across the world. Now, a video allegedly involving the gangster has gone viral on the internet. In it, a mob can be seen beating a man. The word “Goldy” could be heard several times throughout the video. Many shared the clip claiming it showed how a mob in Canada beat up the absconding gangster. AFWA found that the man seen assaulted in this video is a Pakistani TikTok influencer called Hassan Goldy — who has nothing to do with Goldy Brar. New Delhi: Hours after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Mansa district of Punjab on Sunday, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar "claimed responsibility" for the murder in a purported Facebook post. Soon after the purported post surfaced, the Punjab Police also confirmed Brar's role in the murder. A close associate of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Brar said in the purported post that his module in Punjab carried out the attack on Moosewala. According to reports, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known by his stage name Sidhu Moosewala, was driving with two of his friends when the incident took place around 5.30 pm. Three of them were taken to hospital where Moosewala was declared dead on arrival. Mansa SSP Gaurav Tura said some unidentified assailants, riding in three cars – a Maruti Alto, a Mahindra Bolero and a Mahindra Scorpio – surrounded Moosewala’s car before launching an attack on the three occupants.
