Ms Sandhu tried hard to hold back her tears as she walked the stage one last time as the reigning Miss Universe. Actor-model Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe 2021 on Monday, 21 years after Lara Dutta won the title in 2000. The 21-year-old from Punjab represented India at the 70th Miss Universe 2021, which was held in Israel. She was crowned by her predecessor Andrea Meza of Mexico, who won the pageant in 2020.
