Deer milk

You do not mention where you are from. There are areas of the country where the deer herds carry TB and other diseases that you wouldn't want to get. Other than that, deer milk would have to be very similar to goat's milk, as they use goats milk to feed the fawns that are orphans. I know that they use reindeer milk and yak milk in other parts of the world. Hi, thanks for the replies so far. First of all, I'm talking about a deer that has been killed, not a live one. Is it bad to get milk from a dead deer, even if it is fresh? I live in virginia and have heard reports of chronic wasting disease, so I know about that and what to look for even though it hasn't come this far yet. I'm sure it would probaly taste similar to goat's milk. Thanks again for the replies. -K Hey, waste not, want not. When I was a young lad just getting into deer hunting I invited my myself to hunt with my uncles. When they killed a deer, nothing went to waste. They would even chop up all the bones for stew. There...

It butted it suddenly, smelling the milk, but could make nothing of the milk in the gourd. Jody saved it precariously from spilling over the floor. Then the deer slowly started drinking milk from Jody’s hands when he dipped his fingers in the milk and thrust them into the fawn’s soft wet mouth.
