What is tawwakul? Tawakkul is an Arabic word for the Islamic concept of putting full reliance and trust in Allah’s plan. The Quran speaks about this, success is for the believer who obeys God’s commandments. It’s easy for a Muslim to be faithful when things are going well, the true test is placed when Allah has challenged a person in his or her life, will they keep their faith in God or turn their backs? When things don’t go our way it’s easy to turn bitter or jealous and start making looking over our shoulder to see what our neighbor has got. This has become especially toxic in today’s times with the entire world being braggadocious on Facebook and Twitter.
