This is a triple-distilled neutral grain spirit which is re-distilled in a traditional copper pot. Meet India's first gin brand Greater Than from Nao Spirits. When Anand Virmani and Vaibhav Singh realised the gap in the Indian gin industry, they knew the potential of creating a local brand. The wheat-based gin sources its ingredients from different parts of the world. This one has juniper berries from Macedonia, citrus from Spain, coriander, fennel seeds, chamomile, ginger and lemongrass from Goa and New Delhi. Greater Than has a subtle note of lemon and ginger. Launched by Spaceman & Company, Samsara is the first product in this segment. Samsara has three prominent notes of citrus, floral and spice. Distilled in the classic London Dry method, this gin is creation of former PricewaterhouseCoopers associate, Aditya Aggarwal. Apart from juniper, it has other 11 ingredients like organic hemp seeds (that comes from Bombay Hemp Company or BOHECO), rose petals, vetiver grass, green cardamom, blood oranges, cassia bark, angelica root and rose petals. After launching a base gin Greater Than, team Nao Spirits decided to create something premium packed with Indian elements. Hapusa (Sanskrit for juniper) sources most of its ingredients within the country.
