IND vs BAN Man of the Match 1st Test: Who won India vs Bangladesh Test Man of the Match award today?

Resuming from their overnight score of 272/6, Bangladesh lost the remaining four wickets for 52 runs on the final day to eventually get bundled out for 324 in 113.2 overs chasing a 513-run target. Captain Shakib Al Hasan (84) continued with his attacking instincts to hit a total of six fours and six sixes at a strike rate of 77.77 but the southpaw ended up playing a shot too many in his pursuit of scoring quick runs. India all-rounder Axar Patel emerged as the pick of their bowlers in the second innings picking bowling figures of 32.2-10-77-4. Patel was well-assisted by fellow left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who followed a five-wicket haul in the first innings with figures of 20-3-73-3 today. IND vs BAN Man of the Match 1st Test Although India vice-captain Cheteshwar Pujara (90 & 102*) appeared to be a top contender to pin down Yadav (40 & 8/113) and batter Shubman Gill (20 & 110) to be adjudged the Player of the Match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Sunday, it wasn’t to be as Yadav was handed the award during the post-match presentation ceremony. Playing a Test match after 22 months, Yadav’s match-winning effort will surely better his position in the pecking order among Indian spinners. With him contributing with the bat in hand as well in the first innings, his batting will surely allure eyeballs in the future. ALSO READ: “Happy with my performance, both with bat and ball. Yuvi Roasts Gill London: Yuvraj Singh is known to be a lovable character off-the-field and his love for football is no secret. Recently, when India opener Shubman Gill posted pictures with Manchester City stars, Yuvraj poked fun at him. Yuvraj claimed that he was not aware that Gill is a Man City fan and was of the opinion that the latter likes PSG. Gill was present at the Wembley Stadium in London for the FA Cup final along with former India captain Virat Kohli and Mumbai Indians star Suryakumar Yadav, where Manchester City beat their arch-rivals Manchester United 2-1 to lift their second trophy of the season. In addition to this, one demerit point has been added to Gill’s disciplinary record, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period. The incident occurred after the fourth day’s play when Gill criticised the umpiring decision for his dismissal in the second innings of the match on social media. Gill too accepted the sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

Bangladesh vs India: Cheteshwar Pujara deserved man of the match award, says Dinesh Karthik

By India Today Web Desk: India wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik feels that Cheteshwar Pujara should have won the player of the match award in the first Test match against Bangladesh at Chattogram. Pujara scored a fighting 90 in the first innings to arrest the Indian top order failure and then hit a century in the second innings to put up a dominating total on board. The century was Pujara's first in almost four years and the fastest one in his career. However, the player of the match award was given to Kuldeep Yadav, who took career-best figures on a track that supported bounce throughout the game. "To be fair, he got two crunch knocks. The first one came when India were under a little bit more pressure. He and Shreyas had a lovely partnership. He scored a hundred in the second innings, albeit a very un-Pujara innings. The speed at which he played was great to watch and it was his personal fastest hundred. So, he deserved to be the man of the match," Karthik said on Cricbuzz. "Pujara's runs are a certain fixed deposit and a nice metaphor to use because the chances of it going wrong are very less and if he gets going, it gives you a certain stability. People can bat at good strike rates around and he is a thorn in the flesh. Even in Australia, how he troubles the Australian bowlers. Hence, it's a good sign moving towards the Australia series and the WTC final if Pujara can keep his form and keep churning out runs like this Test match," Karthik concluded. India play their...

Washington Sundar, however, got the crucial breakthrough for India, sending Das back for 41. The Bangladesh skipper looked to glance a delivery to fine leg, but only managed to glove the ball to the keeper. Virat Kohli then pulled off a stunner to end Shakib Al Hasan’s stay on 29. Shakib looked to drive Sundar on the up, but could not connect properly. Kohli leaped to his right at extra cover and completed a superb catch. Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim added 33 for the fifth wicket, but both fell off consecutive deliveries. The former was trapped lbw by Shardul Thakur for 14 as he missed a full-length delivery. Mushfiqur (18) then chopped one onto his stumps as he attempted to guide a shortish delivery from Siraj towards deep third man but was cramped for room. Man of the Match today IND vs BAN: Who won India vs Bangladesh Man of the Match today 3rd ODI?

During the third ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of Bangladesh in Chittagong, India beat Bangladesh by 227 runs. In what is the 17th biggest ODI win (by runs) and second-biggest in and against Bangladesh for any team, India’s third-biggest ODI victory hasn’t prevented a second consecutive bilateral 1-2 series loss for them in and against Bangladesh. Chasing a 410-run target, Bangladesh failed miserably to replicate their performances from the first two ODIs in Mirpur. As a result, ended up getting bundled out for 182 in 34 overs on the back of losing wickets at regular intervals. Former captain Shakib Al Hasan (43) and captain Liton Das (29) did hit eight fours and a six between them but it had no major impact in an unsuccessful monumental run-chase. Having played a pivotal record in picking wickets in the middle overs, India pacer Shardul Thakur was the pick of their bowlers with figures of 5-0-30-3. While all-rounder Axar Patel and fast bowler Umran Malik picked a couple of wickets, other bowlers namely Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav dismissed a batter each. Was looking to watch the ball properly and go with the flow. I think when you have so many senior players in the team. I got a lot of help from the support staff. I was just picking the ball and the bowlers,” Kishan told...
