Brent crude futures were up 1.3% at $75.24 a barrel, and US WTI crude was up 1.3% at $70.32 a barrel. China’s central bank lowering short-term lending rates also supported market speculation of rising fuel demand. The Federal Open Market Committee’s decision to pause interest rate hikes also suggests interest rates will support oil demand and, therefore, prices. Mentha oil Price Hike : मेंथा ऑयल (Mentha oil) की कीमतों में पिछले कुछ वक्त से लगातार तेजी देखने को मिल रही है. बुधवार को भले ही इसके दाम में बेहद मामूली गिरावट आई हो लेकिन पिछले तीन दिनों में इसकी कीमतें करीब 8 फीसदी तक बढ़ी हैं. इससे पहले पिछले शुक्रवार को ही इसके दाम तेज बढ़ोतरी के साथ एक साल के टॉप पर पहुंच गए थे. मल्टी कमोडिटी एक्सचेंज में मेंथा के जून वायदा की कीमतों में 5.66 फीसदी की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई और यह 1,040 रुपये प्रति किलो पर पहुंच गया. पिछले साल 11 जून में मेंथा ऑयल की कीमतों ने इस लेवल को छुआ था. आखिर मेंथा ऑयल में इस तेजी के पीछे वजह क्या है? क्या इसमें यह तेजी आगे भी बरकरार रहेगी? आखिर रिटर्न के लिहाज से इस वक्त मेंथा ऑयल में निवेश कितना फायदेमंद रहेगा? मेंथा की फसल बरबाद होने से चढ़े दाम दरअसल मेंथा ऑयल ( Peppermint) में यह तेजी इसकी सप्लाई में गिरावट की वजह से आ रही है. देश में सबसे ज्यादा मेंथा की खेती और उत्पादन यूपी के बाराबंकी में होता है. देश के कुल मेंथा ऑयल ( (Mentha oil)का 70 फीसदी का उत्पादन यहीं होता है. लेकिन असमय बारिश ने इस साल यहां इसकी फसल बरबाद कर दी. किसानों के मुताबिक पहले ‘तौकते’ फिर ‘यास’ तूफान से हुई बारिश ने मेंथा की फसल बर्बाद कर दी. प्री-मानसून ने भी फसल का काफी नुकसान किया. किसानों के मुताबिक लगभग 50 फीसदी फसल बर्बाद हो गई. लॉकडाउन खत्म होते ही बढ़ेंगीं मेंथा की कीमतें मेंथा की कीमतें 2 जून से ही बढ़ रही है. 2 जून को इसकी कीमत 912 रुपये प्रति किलो थी लेकिन पिछले शुक्रवार को यह बढ़ कर 1,157 रुपये प्रति किलो हो गई. विश्लेषकों का मानना है कि इस बार सप्लाई कम है और देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में लॉकडाउन खुलने से इसकी डिमांड अभी और बढ़े...
