Pauline Amelinckx, Michelle Dee chosen as Miss Universe Philippines 2023 frontrunners by pageant analysts

Images: Instagram/@themissuniverseph Bohol’s Pauline Amelinckx and Makati’s Michelle Dee are seen to be the top contenders for the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) crown, according to pageant analysts Missosology and Sash Factor. Dee was picked as the top contender for the title by Missosology, an international publication that analyzes pageants in both the national and international levels, as seen on its Instagram page on Friday, May 12. Also included in the list are Amelinckx, Pampanga’s Angelique Manto, Cebu Province’s Emmanuelle Camcam, Baguio’s Krishnah Gravidez, Cavite’s Samantha Panlilio, Zambales’ CJ Opiaza, Agusan del Norte’s Jannarie Zarzoso, Davao Oriental’s Klyza Castro, Parañaque’s Clarielle Dacanay, Lapu-Lapu’s Clare Inso, Eastern Samar’s Airissh Ramos and Palawan’s Louise Gallardo. Meanwhile, Sorsogon’s Rein Carrascal, Mandaluyong’s Iman Cristal, Pasig’s Kali Navea-Huff, Aklan’s Avery Sucgang, Quezon City’s Mary Eileen Gonzales, Bacoor City’s Alexandria Bollier and Guimaras’ Vanessa Wing are also seen as potential competitors for the crown. In preparation for the 72nd Miss Universe season, it has joined other national organizations in celebrating womanhood in all shapes and sizes. And with the expanded eligibility rule now in action, young married women and single mothers are welcomed into the fold. We're getting closer to finding the next Miss Universe Philippines! From 38 candidates, only ten candidates now remain for the next round of this year's pageant. Michelle Dee of Makati emerged as the shining star of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant, capturing the crown and the opportunity to represent the Philippines on the prestigious Miss Universe stage. The pageant, held at the Mall of Asia Arena, witnessed the coronation of Dee as the successor to Celeste Cortesi, the previous Miss Universe Philippines. Dee, a pageant veteran, showcased her grace, intelligence, and passion throughout the competition, earning her the coveted title. Out of 38 confidently beautiful women from different parts of the country that vied for the crown, it was Makati City bet Michelle Dee who was hailed as the newest queen of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 during the coronation night held on Saturday, May 13, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The event commenced with a simple production number, with dancers waving orange cloth banners and dashing lads appearing onstage as the candidates paraded in black ensembles in various silhouettes and busted some of their hidden grooves. They were divided into two batches and were introduced one-by-one through their pre-recorded voiceovers. It was hosted by Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards and Chinito Heartthrob Xian Lim, along with Miss Universe 2019 and longest reigning queen Zozibini Tunzi as their guest co-host. Serving as backstage correspondents were Tim Yap and Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne.
