List of Miss World 2015-2020 Miss World is the oldest running international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley’s widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, this pageant is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants and the most coveted title of international pageant competitions. The Miss World Organization announced Wednesday that it is postponing the 70th edition of the pageant, and will be holding it instead in 2021. Miss World 2019, the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 14 December 2019 at the ExCeL London in London, United Kingdom.Vanessa Ponce of Mexico crowned her successor Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica at the end of the event. It also drew plenty of criticism from those who deemed a bikini, a relatively new garment at the time, as immodest.
