Good Fantasy Drama for Kids. Style of the film close to the real life that should connect with all the kids. Ashwanth rocked on his acting both in comedy as well as in emotional scenes. Liked to see the New dimension of Prabhu Deva Sir, where he shined well as Boodham by doing fun and exhibiting emotions. Other artists did their job well. D. Imman Music gave support to the film. 'Master Oh my Master' good dance number. 1st Half - Slow paced with good laughable comedy tracks. 2nd Half - Emotional, Motivational, Message full Cinematography, Sound Effects and Editing are fine. VFX worked out well at some places and disappointed at some places. Film should come even better, if they have written even more interesting scenes and comedy tracks. Claps for entire team. Good Family Entertainer. Surely, Kids must enjoy the film by watching it in theaters. The story , the screenplay and visuals are stunning. This was one of the movie that can have some young audience & will thoroughly enjoy. The plot may have some loopholes , however the theme is right on . We need more such movies that have a strong social message along with some fun story. Ashwanth has done an amazing job at his character, Prabhu deva fits perfect into his role with the dance moves it is a nice combination. Tamil cinema has a really long love story with genies. Starting from Pattinathil Bhootham, Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum to Sathan Sollai Thattathe, we have seen various bhoothams granting wishes to our kind-hearted and needy heroes. Though all of these films were targeted at kids, they didn't fail to include elements for grown-ups too. In fact, most of them even succeeded in amusing the inner child in adults. N Ragavan's retelling of Alladin and Genie knows its target audience clearly. It is unabashedly cartoonish and is solely aimed at the little ones. There are certain portions, which does hit the right emotional chords, but for most parts, My Dear Bootham ends up being a tear-jerker that tries really hard to portray Thirunavukkarasu as an object of sympathy. After praying to Lord Murugan, his wishes come true and he gets a son. He shows all of his love he supressed all these years and loves him unconditionally. One day, his son asks him to take him to the planet where Siddhars live and so Karkimuki takes him there. Accidentally, his son enters a deep burrow to hide from his father where he disturbs a Siddhar's thavam that has been continuing for a thousand years. An angry Siddhar wakes up and curses Karkimuki that he will sent to Earth as a statue and if he is released by someone, that someone has to say a mandaram for Karkimuki to return to the Genie World. Thirunavukarusu (Thiru) is an ordinary kid but he is a stammerer. Because of this, he gets bullied in school by his classmates.
