Traffic diversions in Pune tomorrow for Palkhi departures: Plan your route accordingly

To facilitate the Palkhi departure ceremony on Wednesday (June 14), extensive modifications will be implemented to traffic routes in the eastern region of the city. This event commemorates the revered saints Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj, as their palanquin processions commence from their respective temples. The sacred palanquin carrying the paduka of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj will embark on its journey from Bhawani Peth. It will pass through various landmarks such as Ramoshi Gate, Bhawani Mata Mandir, Mukti Fauj Chowk in the Camp area, Pulgate Police Chowk, Mammadevi Chowk, Solapur Road, Hadapsar Gadital, and eventually reach Pandharpur via Saswad Road. The revered palanquin of Sant Tukaram Maharaj will commence its journey from Shree Nivdungya Vithoba Mandir in Nana Peth. Ashadhi Wari 2022 : अखंड वारकरी सांप्रदाय ज्याची आस लावून होता त्या आषाढी वारीची घोषणा झाली आहे. कोरोनामुळे गेली दोन वर्ष आषाढी वारीच्या सोहळ्यात खंड पडला होता. मात्र, यावर्षी वारकऱ्यांमध्ये मोठ्या प्रमाणात उत्साह पाहायला मिळतोय. संत मुक्ताई आणि माता रूक्मिणी यांच्या पालखी सोहळ्याला सुरुवात झाली. आता 6 जूनला म्हणजेच उद्या आषाढी वारीसाठी गजानन महाराजांच्या पालखीचे प्रस्थान होणार आहे. पालखीचे हे 53 वे वर्ष असून पालखीत शेगाव येथून 700 भाविक सामील होणार आहेत. असा असेल गजानन महाराजांच्या पालखीचा मार्ग गजानन महाराजांच्या पालखीचे प्रस्थान 6 जूनला (सोमवारी) होणार आहे. पालखी सकाळी 7 वाजता मंदिरातून प्रस्थान होणार आहे. त्यानंतर पालखीचा मार्ग दुपारी श्री क्षेत्र नागझरी येथे असणार आहे. तर रात्री पालखीचा मुक्काम पारस येथे असणार आहे. दुसऱ्या दिवशी म्हणजेच 7 जूनला दुपारी गायगांव येथे पालखी प्रस्थान करणार आहे. तर रात्री भौरद येथे पालखीचा मुक्काम असणार आहे. कोरोनामुळे गेली दोन वर्ष वारकऱ्यांना पायी वारीत सहभागी होता आले नाही. त्यांच्या पायी वारीत खंड पडला. मात्र, परंपरेत खंड न पडू देता मोजक्या वारकऱ्यांच्या उपस्थितीत हा सोहळा साजरा झाला. दोन वर्षांचा कठीण काळ लोटल्यानंतर यंदा मोठ्या थाटामाटात ही आषाढी वारी साजरी करण्यासाठी वारकरी उत्सुक झाले आहेत. गावागावांत वारकऱ्यांकडून तयारी सुरू झाली आहे. आता सर्व वारकऱ्यांना पालखी प्रस्थानाची आणि पायी विठोबाच्या चरणी माथा टेकविण्याची आस लागलेली आहे.

As per 2022 schedule, Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi from Dehu will commence on 20 June 2022 and Sant Dnyaneshwar Palkhi from Alandi will commence on 21 June 2022. Pilgrims follow the Shri Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi from Dehu and Sant Dnyaneshwar Palkhi from Alandi. Pandharpur is main center of worship of the deity Vitthal, a local form of Lord Vishnu. Lakhs of pilgrims come to Pandharpur on this day from different parts of Maharashtra. Some of them carry Palkhis (palanquins) with the images of the saints of Maharashtra.
