The plan includes widening the existing roads, relocating shops, and creating facilities for a large number of devotees visiting the temple town located in Solapur district. CM Shinde was replying to a query raised by Nationalist Congress Party MLC Amol Mitkari. Mitkari said historic places should be protected while developing the temple corridor. "The development will alter the existing structures," he said. The leader of the Opposition in the Council, Ambadas Danve, raised the issue of pollution in the Chandrabhaga river in Pandharpur. In his reply, Shinde said the temple corridor plan would be prepared after discussions with all stakeholders. Despite the objections, the government has started the tender process to implement the development plan, prompting a sense of uncertainty among the citizens and businessmen. Hindustan Times has seen the proposed draft plan prepared by Public Works Department (PWD). The plan focuses on widening existing roads along the temple to facilitate a large number of devotees and also disaster management plan execution, building parking lots, removing encroachments and building new roads in and around Pandharpur. The news has elicited gloomy reactions from the locals, who believe the DP will alter many existing structures. “The PWD has invited online tenders for this ₹1500 crore project. In this, architecture companies have been called upon to submit tenders for the construction and maintenance of this project to be implemented in Pandharpur and its surroundings,” said a PWD Pandharpur division official, on request of anonymity. महाराष्ट्राचे आराध्य दैवत असलेल्या पांडुरंगाच्या पंढरीचा (पंढरपूर, जि. सोलापूर) काॅरिडॉर करण्यात येणार आहे. काॅरिडॉरच्या पहिल्या टप्प्यासाठी ३०० कोटींचा निधी खर्च करण्यात येणार असून यंदाच्या चालू वर्षात याचा पहिला टप्पा पूर्ण करण्याचे नियोजन आहे, अशी माहिती राज्याचे पर्यटनमंत्री मंगलप्रभात लोढा यांनी शुक्रवारी (ता.२८) दिली. उत्तर प्रदेशात काशी- विश्वानाथ काॅरिडॉर तसेच मध्य प्रदेशात उज्जैन येथे महाकाल काॅरिडॉर प्रकल्प मार्गी लागले आहेत. त्याच धर्तीवर पंढरपूरचा विकास करण्यासाठी काॅरिडॉर करण्यात येणार आहे. यामुळे पंढरीचा चेहरामोहरा बदलून जाईल. वारकऱ्यांना सुविधा मिळतील तसेच जगाच्या नकाशावर विठ्ठलनगरी येईल, असा विश्वास असल्याचे मंत्री लोढा यांनी सांगितले. पंढरपूर या तालुक्याच्या शहरावर मोठा ताण आहे. वर्षातून कार्तिकी आणि आषाढी अशा दोन वाऱ्या येथे होतात. विठ्ठलाच्या भेटीला मोठ्या संख्येने वारकरी येत असतात. येथे सध्या पायाभूत सुविधांची कमतरता आहे. काॅरिडॉर झाल्यावर त्यामध्ये मोठा फरक पडेल, असे मंत्री लोढा यांनी स्पष्ट केले. या काॅरिडॉरमुळे राज्यात धार्मिक पर्यटनाला आणखी चालना मिळेल, असे मंत्री लोढा यांनी सांगितले. गल्ल्या, रस्ते, घाट, मठ, इतर मंदिरांवर विशेष लक्ष केंद्र आणि राज्य याच्या खर्चाचा भार उचलतील. शहरातील गल्ल्या, रस्ते, घाट, मठ आणि छोटी-मोठी मंदिरे याकडे काॅरिडॉर करताना खास लक्ष देण्यात येईल. त्यासाठी उत्तर प्रदेश आणि मध्य प्रदेश या राज्यांनी काॅरिडॉरचे काम कसे केले, याचा अभ्यास करण्यात येणार आहे. सध्या पंढरपुर काॅरिडॉरसाठी ३०० कोटी निधी राखून ठेवला आहे.
