England and the USA came away with the two knockout round berths from Group B after victories on the final day of group play. England took care of Wales rather easily and the 3-0 scoreline ensured they finished in first place and moved on to face African champions Senegal. The USA was in a must-win situation on the final day against Iran and pulled through on a solitary goal by star forward Christian Pulisic, who injured himself on the play and had to come out at halftime.
