Pondicherry in August: The things to do and see, and places to stay – • Weather: It’s hot but the mornings and evenings are nice. • If it’s too hot: Check out the beaches, swimming pools, or the local water park. You could go surfing or scuba diving. • If it’s raining: Check out an air-conditioned cafe or shopping center like the Providence Mall. • For nightlife: There are some nice rooftop places like La Aqua with great cocktails if it’s not raining. Toxic Bar has a rooftop bar with good drink prices. Le Cafe is a simple coffee and espresso place but it’s on the beach. • For places to stay: Choose a place with air-conditioning and a nice pool to stay cool.
