Bajaj Pulsar Price, 2023 Pulsar Models, Images, Colours, Mileage & Reviews

The Bajaj Pulsar is a brand of commuter bikes made by Bajaj Auto in India. There are 9 new Pulsar models on offer with price starting from Rs. 66,586 (ex-showroom). The cheapest model under the series is Bajaj Pulsar 125 with 124.4cc engine generating 11.8 bhp of power, whereas the most expensive model is Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 with 199.5cc engine generating 24.5 bhp of power. The Pulsar brand is what made Bajaj’s motorcycles so popular. It was first launched in 2001 with a 150cc engine. The standard front disc brake was something new for the time. The 180cc Bajaj Pulsar launched with a standard electric start – its 15bhp was enough to make it the fastest motorcycle made in India at the time. In 2003, the Pulsar’s styling changed. It also got the DTS-i tech, which was two spark plugs, that booster both power output as well as economy. Another two years after, 17-inch rims and gas-charged rear shock absorbers were the big changes. 2005 also was the year when Bajaj began to release new features for the Pulsar every year, for the next seven years. 2006 saw a major update of the Pulsar – non-contact, backlit switchgear; self-cancelling indicators; a mostly-digital instrument cluster, an LED tail lamp, and a non-contact speedo sensor. In 2007, Bajaj only just missed out launching the first fuel-injected Indian motorcycle, with the Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi. It also featured an oil cooler, a rear disc brake, and clip-on handlebars, all of which were new. 2008 was a bit of a rollback ...

What started with the 150, the story is now at a 250cc. This new engine also gave rise to the new Pulsar N160. But this means Bajaj Auto has two 160cc motorcycles in the lineup. The Bajaj Pulsar NS160has been around for a while and uses a different engine from the new N160. 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 First Ride Review | Sportiest 160 in town? 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 First Ride Review | The Pulsar N160 appears to be a step to the side when it comes to what the Pulsar design philosophy has been over the past two decades. However, while the design is fresh, the overall personality of the bike is very Pulsar. How do these two compare in terms of specifications, features, and price? Here goes. Pulsar N160 vs Pulsar NS160: Engine and gearbox The new Bajaj Pulsar N160 is powered by a 164.8cc engine with a two-valve head, while the NS160's is a 160.3cc engine with a four-valve head. There is a slight difference in power figures as well. The NS is slightly more powerful with 17.2 hp, compared to the N's 16 hp. The torque, however, is similar at 14.65 Nm for the N and 14.6 Nm for the NS. The N160 produces peak power and torque earlier in the rev range at 8,750 rpm and 6,750 for torque. New Bajaj Pulsar N160 starts arriving at dealerships

Powering the motorcycle is a 165cc, oil-cooled engine that is larger than the NS160’s mill. However, the power output is considerably lower at 15.68bhp while the torque figure is nearly identical at 14.65Nm. The lower power shouldn’t be a concern though as Bajaj says 85 per cent of peak torque is available throughout the rev range for easier overtakes in the city and better tractability. Weighing 154kg (kerb), the N160 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by 37mm telescopic forks and a Nitrox monoshock. Meanwhile, braking is handled by a single disc at both ends. The single-channel ABS variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is available in three colour options including blue, red, and grey while the dual ABS trim comes in a single paint scheme – black.
