During this time of crisis, all life members of the Red Cross Society should voluntarily come forward and take up the task of organising facilities for Covid-affected people like isolation centres, oxygen and ventilators; and all these should be done on a war footing, This was observed by the members at a webinar organised on the occasion of the World Red Cross Day on Saturday. The virtual meeting was chaired by Red Cross State Branch Protection Committee convenor and advocate Dillip Dashsharma. Among others, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commisionerate police Red Cross branch joint secretary ACP Lalitendu Mohanty, Dr Dwarikanath Mohanty, Prassana Rath, Lokanath Jejo and Durga Padhi joined. The meeting decided to appeal to the authorities to utilise the top floor of Red Cross Bhawan for corona-affected people as the floor remains unutilised for quite a long time.
