The completion of the opening and closing ceremonies along with the puja rituals marks the beginning of the Kedarnath Yatra. Kedarnath temple has great significance for visitors across the world. The opening and closing dates are decided by the priests of Ukhimath’s Omkareshwar Temple on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Lord Shiva's idol was decked with 20 quintals of flowers, and Baba Kedar's Panchmukhi Chal Vigraha Doli arrived at the Dham yesterday. Due to poor weather conditions, thousands of pilgrims were forced to turn back on their way to the holy shrine.
