It is a cherished dream of every student to become the all-India topper in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), however, RK Shishir had other plans for himself as the Bengaluru boy who topped the JEE Advanced 2022 has let go of a seat to study computer science at the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Bombay. In place of IIT Bombay, Shishir chose the B Tech programme at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). In an interaction with News18, RK Shishir revealed that consistency helped him achieve a top ranking in the JEE Advanced examination. He did not dedicate 12-14 hours to studies in a day which is often seen as a crucial practice for success. Alternatively, for quality results, he relied on regular, small breaks after every hour of preparation. Many may feel that such breaks can be distracting and may compromise focus, but for Shishir, they were the key to consistency.
