RNTCP Full Form What Is The Full Form Of RNTCP? RNTCP stands for Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme. It is a comprehensive tuberculosis control program launched by the Indian government in 1997. The program is implemented in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and is focused on achieving universal access to tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment. The main objective of RNTCP is to provide quality tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment to all TB patients, free of cost, in both the public and private sectors. The program aims to achieve this by promoting the early detection and diagnosis of TB, and by providing standardized, effective, and patient-centered treatment for all forms of TB. RNTCP uses a directly observed treatment, short-course (DOTS) strategy for TB management, which involves a 6-8 month treatment regimen of anti-tuberculosis drugs.
