Plane Trigonometry Part

The author discusses complex quantities using trigonometric functions and identities to familiarize students with the range of applications of trigonometric concepts being explained in part I of his book plane trigonometry. Though part I is a prerequisite, but the discussion made in this part gives students sound grounding in trigonometry and its applications. Students with mathematics as core part of their curriculum will find it handy.

ARIHANT'S PLANE TRIGONOMERY BY S.L LONEY PDF

PLANE TRIGONOMERY BY S.L LONEY SL Loney Trigonometry PDF: "Plane Trigonometry" is a classic textbook written by S.L. Loney, first published in 1893. The book is widely regarded as one of the most accessible and comprehensive introductions to the subject of trigonometry, and has been used by students and teachers around the world for over a century. The book covers all of the fundamental concepts of plane trigonometry, including the trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, etc.), trigonometric identities, and applications of trigonometry in solving problems related to triangles and circles. It also includes a number of worked examples and exercises to help students develop their understanding and problem-solving skills. One of the strengths of Loney's "Plane Trigonometry" is its clear and concise presentation of the subject matter. Loney avoids unnecessary technical jargon and focuses on explaining the concepts in a way that is easy for students to understand. The book is also well-organized, with each chapter building on the concepts introduced in the previous chapters. Overall, "Plane Trigonometry" is a valuable resource for anyone looking to learn or teach trigonometry, whether in a classroom setting or through self-study. Its accessible style and comprehensive coverage of the subject have made it a classic of mathematical literature, and it continues to be widely used and respected today. Plane Trigonometry

User Review - This is the type of book needed for schools, Universities and technical schools. The topic is covered in great details and all the formulas are derived. Sidney Loney is very generous in every derivation. The book takes you on a step by step basis in every subject. It is illustrative and comprehensive in each subject. Current schools got rid of infinite products, binomial series and the concept of limit since those topics belongs to classical analysis according to modern curriculum. At an early age these subjects in trigonometry help the young mathematician form a criteria about infinite sums and product while he sticks his understanding on the transcendental functions of trigonometry. Many books of the 1800-1900, despite the old notation, covers the material in great detail. In mathematics old doesn't mean useless. Current books in trigonometry evades lots of difficulty hampering the comprehension of Trigonometry. This book confront those difficulties with illustrative examples, complete proofs and well thought arguments. This must be mandatory for every serious mathematical student, scientist, architecture and engineer. User Review - A great book. Nostalgia. Curiously, as late as the early 1980s, this book was recommended by the CA institute in India. But unfortunately no one ( CA student ) referred to this book - rather most students have not even heard of this book- and to their loss. Many questions in the CA exams were a straight lift from this book. But ...
