HI, I am as regular visitor to salasar Bajali temple in Salasar, Rajasthan and hence I speak form epxreience. How often do I visit....at least once a year. The reasons for visiting this place are multitude. Being Religious is just 1 of the many. This is a small religious town which hasnt caught the imagination of the popular religious destinations yet, so while it lasts visit it once. The town is small and revolves around the temple. For accomodations, there are a few hotels if any any and probably 50 dharamshalas( non profit accomodations). Some of the dharamshalsas here are very well made giving you a 2-3 star accomodation. Very neat and clean. I stay at one which is walkable distance to the temple. Its called Ram Swaroop Seva Sadan, Jind Dharmshala, Salasar. You also get great tasting Rajasthani food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The food costs you a mere Rs 60 or so per meal and its unlimited. The rooms cost about Rs. 400 or so with hot running water/ac/ heater. About the town: Its a unusually neat town with not much to do besides vsiitng the temple in the mornings and evenings. Around Salasar: In the day however One can go to a very interesting place called Tal Chappar which is about a 40 mins drive form salasar to Sujangarh and then aboput 5 kms further. Ask anyone at sujangarh for Tal Chappar. Tal chappar is a peice of Africa right in the middle of Rajasthan. A flat grassland which sits in the middle of the desert. This place is home to over 500 black bucks left ...
