The District Magistrate of Patna has issued a notice on January 07, 2023 to close schools up to class 10 till January 14. The decision is taken in view of the severe cold conditions in parts of Bihar, including Patna. However, the activities related to class 10 board exams can be carried out between 9 AM to 3 PM.

As per the official statement, the academic activities up to class 12 have been restricted till June 18. The order of the Patna DM is taken into effect from June 12 (Monday). Citing, possible risk to children's health and life, Patna DM ordered to shut both private and government schools in the district. "I, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, District Magistrate, Patna under section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 do hereby prohibit the academic activities of all the Private, Goverment schools (Including Pre-school and Anganwari Center) of Patna District up to Class- XII till 18.06.2023," reads the official notice. As per the notice, it reads, “Whereas it has been made to appear to me due to the prevalent cold weather and low temperature prevailing particularly in the morning in the district, health and life of the children are at risk.” Hence the DM of Patna Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh has issued an order under the section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 do hereby prohibit the academic activities of all the private and governmental schools of Patna District Up to Class VIII till Date – January 7, 2023. Certain states such as Uttar Pradesh, Punjab- Haryana have been severely hit by the cold wave and schools have been asked to shut. Earlier, the Punjab CM had announced the change in school timings keeping in mind the safety and health of the children and teachers. पटना : बिहार में कड़ाके की ठंड जारी है. कई जिलों में कक्षा एक से लेकर 10वीं तक के स्कूल बंद हैं. कुछ जिलों में खुल गए हैं तो कुछ को अभी बंद रखा गया है. जिलाधिकारी और जिला शिक्षा पदाधिकारी के निर्देश पर स्कूलों को बंद किया गया था. बिहार में कड़ाके की ठंड कम नहीं हो रही है. ऐसे में कुछ वैसे जिले जहां न्यूनतम तापमान कम है वहां आगे भी स्कूल बंद हो सकता है. जानिए बिहार के कुछ जिलों में अब तक का क्या अपडेट है. कैमूर में शीतलहर और ठंड के कारण जिलाधिकारी ने 16 जनवरी तक जिले के सारे स्कूलों को बंद रखने का निर्देश दिया है. जिला शिक्षा पदाधिकारी ने इसकी जानकारी दी. वहीं जमुई में कक्षा एक से 10वीं तक के स्कूल 11 जनवरी तक ही बंद करने का आदेश था. 12 जनवरी से खोले जाएंगे या बंद रहेंगे इसकी जानकारी बुधवार शाम तक आ सकती है. अररिया में 16 से खुलेंगे स्कूल अररिया में 16 तारीख से स्कूल खोले जाएंगे. जिला शिक्षा पदाधिकारी राजकुमार ने बताया कि 18 और 19 जनवरी को अररिया में मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार का कार्यक्रम है, इसलिए 16 से स्कूल खुलना है. वहीं समस्तीपुर में 14 जनवरी तक स्कूल बंद है. 16 से खोले जाने की संभावना है. बेतिया में 14 जनवरी तक कक्षा एक से दसवीं तक के सारे स्कूलों को बंद रखने का निर्देश है. पूर्णिया में भी 14 जनवरी तक यही आदेश है. हालांकि यहां कक्षा एक से आठवीं तक के छात्रों के लिए ही सिर्फ आदेश है. गया जिले में 12 जनवरी तक स्कूल बंद है. वहीं नवादा में स्कूल खुल चुका है. प्रारंभिक विद्यालय के प्रधान को निर्देश दिया गया है कि कक्षा एक से पांच तक के छात्रों के लिए 14 जनवरी तक स्कूल बंद रहेगा. वर्ग छह से आठ का शैक्षणिक गतिविधि 9 जनवरी से 9 बजे सुबह से तीन बजे दोपहर तक चलेगा. वहीं सीवान में...
