The Regional Transport Department of Maharashtra was formed under Section 213 (1) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. RTO Maharashtra imposes the rules and regulations on all the vehicles which are running in the state under the leadership of the Commissioner of Transport in Maharashtra.
