Selfiee Movie Review: Akshay Kumar

By Zinia Bandyopadhyay: At this point, it is safe to say that most in the audience are done with remakes. It has been a continuing season of remaking not just some super hit regional films, but Bollywood is now buying rights of foreign language films as well. Just last week, Kartik Aaryan hit the screens with his film Shehzada, the remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and the disappointment was just as massive as the hype the film had generated. Now, Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi have teamed up for the remake of the Malayalam film, Driving Licence. So you have his wife, played by Diana Penty, making fun of the star’s ‘masoode wali smile’ and you will not be able to hold back the laugh and marvel at Kumar’s ability to take a joke on himself at the same time. What makes t...
