Sky Walk Pelling Sikkim

Excellent concept and is a great place for a walk, relaxation, and meditation. The Gaint Statue Sangachuling Monastery / Chenrezing is breathtaking. Also, don't forget to visit Sanghak Choeling Monastery, a gem, a calm and relaxed place just a few steps from the sky walk. There is the construction between them, but easily accessible. it is great spot like other Cloister it is appropriate to Buddhism you can consume less then 1/2 hr. Entry ticket is 100 for every individual. Like other Cloister it is same So can decide preceding visiting which one you really want to visit. Sky walk is horrendous it is only wastage of money while making it, it can be much better It isn't the case alluring like you may be found in the recordings of China Sky Walk. Do not come here of the purpose is to enjoy the skywalk - you will be disappointed. It is neither high nor log enough. The place should be visited for the beautifule status of Chenrezig and the views from the top. Note: There are a lot of steps to be walked to reach the base of the statue and also inside the building in case you want to walk to the viewing point. Entry fee is very high A new attraction in pelling, it has a skywalk and a large courtyard with monastery on top of the mountain.. it gives great view and can be done with kids also.. the height of sky walk is okayish and not very high. In centre of courtyard, there is an echo point which was very new for me. another impressive thing about it was that it was completely frie...

SKY WALK PELLING SIKKIM

This was an unique experience of literally walking on glass. This glass walkway is supported by metal frame. The police warn people not to walk in clusters, although in reality everyone stops altogether for a quick selfie. This Skywalk leads upto a Monastery (Sanghak Choeling Monastery), which is a must visit as well. One cannot say much about this as using a skywalk does not give below views of valley or water. Also the type of one created is not a neat one. Shoes have to be removed to walk on the same which is not what is there at other skywalk. Also skywalk per se is not a place of worship except the area house monastery

Pelling Tourism: Everything You Need To Know

Pelling is a small hill town of western Sikkim perched at an altitude of 6,250ft with magnificent views of Kanchenjunga peaks. When I first visited and looked at the towering snow capped peaks right ahead from the terrace of Norbu Ghang hotel, it seemed at a stones throw distance. But actually Mt. Kachenjunga is around 44kms away from Pelling (as the crow flies). Pelling has three parts - Upper, Middle and Lower Pelling. Being a small township, you can walk across from one part to the other. The main market area, the taxi stand as well as the bus stand are located at Lower Pelling. There are also several eateries here. Upper Pelling offers better views of the mountains and therefore most of the view hotels (including many budget hotels) are located here. Upper Pelling too has several restaurants and bars. There are many villages in Pelling such as Singyang, Chumbong, Sindrong, Darap etc. Bhutias form the main population here and many of them are associated directly with the monasteries. There are also Lepchas (whi are known as the original inhabitants of Sikkim) who mainly live in the village Sindrong. There are several other tribes too in Pelling like Limboos, Chetris and other Nepali tribes. The popular 'Kanchenjunga Festival' is held at Pelling every year in December. It's a great time to experience local food, ethnic cultural programs including local dance, traditional art & crafts, see wonderful flower shows etc. Many other activities also take place during this time ...
