When does the men’s T20 Cricket World Cup start? The Men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2022 began on Sunday, October 16. The first week will be the qualification group stage featuring the lowest ranked T20 nations. The winners and runners up from the two qualification groups will proceed to the Super 12 stage, which will begin on Saturday, October 22. Teams will be split into two groups of six, with the countries in the top two at the end of the Super 12 stage progressing to the semi-finals.
