Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow in the national capital on Monday, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory to commuters for the smooth movement of vehicles. Modi's roadshow is actually part of a two-day BJP national executive meeting. The show will be held in about a 1-kilometre stretch and feature some cultural performances. In the view of the roadshow, some of the roads such as Ashoka Road (Windsor Place to GPO Both Carriageways), Jai Singh Road, Sansad Marg, Tolstoy Road (Janpath to Sansad Marg), Rafi Marg (R/A Rail Bhawan to Sansad Marg), Jantar Mantar Road, Imtiaz Khan Marg and Bangla Sahib Lane will be closed from 2:30 pm to 5 pm on Monday. It must be noted that Bhartiya Janta Party's (BJP) roadshow is expected to have mass public participation on January 16 and is scheduled to begin from 3 pm onwards. Traffic Advisory Traffic on the following roads and stretches will be affected as Bhartiya Janta Party is organising a roadshow having mass participation on 16.1.2023 from 1500hrs onwards. Gurugram Traffic Likely to be hit tomorrow due to Prez Murmu's Visit

New Delhi: In view of President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Gurugram on Thursday (February 9, 2023), traffic is likely to be hit on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway (National Highway 48). According to the police, traffic will be restricted on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway for six hours due to President Droupadi Murmu's visit to the Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Bhora Kalan. Gurugram Police said that the traffic would be interrupted from 9 am to 12 pm and again from 2-5 pm. "In order to run the traffic smoothly, the Gurugram Police appeals to the general public to follow the traffic advisory and use alternative routes so that they do not face any problem," the traffic advisory read. President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Gurugram: Check traffic advisory According to the diversion plan, vehicles travelling from Delhi to Jaipur using National Highway 48 will turn left from Shankar Chowk and then go through Golf Course Road or Rajeev Chowk via Sohna Road or Gurugram-Pataudi Road. Vehicles travelling from Jaipur will go via Panchgaon, Manesar via the Kundali-Manesar-Palwal Expressway.

Delhi Traffic Police Issue Advisory Ahead Of AAP's Mega Rally

The Aam Aadmi Party, led by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is holding a rally against the Central government's ordinance on services in Delhi on Sunday at Ramlila Maidan. The rally is expected to pull in over a lakh participants, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. In light of the rally, elaborate security measures involving paramilitary forces and the local police force have been put in place. Now, the Delhi traffic police department has issued an advisory and has put in place certain traffic restrictions and diversions. On Twitter, the department hasshared, “In view of AAP's 'Maha Rally' at Ramlila Ground on June 11, 2023, diversion points will be effective and traffic restrictions/regulation/diversion may be imposed on certain roads. Kindly follow the advisory to avoid any inconvenience.” The advisory also states that traffic restrictions will be imposed on certain roads and stretchesfrom 8 am on Sunday (June 11). The national capital is expected to witness heavy traffic on Saturday in view of Bharat Jodo Yatra to enter Delhi tomorrow, police issues traffic advisory The Congress' foot march led by party MP Rahul Gandhi will enter Delhi at 6 am on Saturday via the Badarpur border. The participants will walk towards Ashram via Mathura Road and continue on to Zakir Hussain Marg, India Gate, Tilak Marg, ITO, and Red Fort. A group of Congress leaders will then walk to Raj Ghat from Red Fort via Netaji Subhash Marg to pay obeisance to national leaders. The leaders are expected to reach Raj Ghat at around 4:30 pm.
