RUSO Names UCO’s Next President After a national search, the Board of Regents for the Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO) has named Todd G. Lamb, J.D., the 22nd president of the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). Lamb will assume the presidency beginning July 1, 2023, replacing Andrew K. Benton, J.D., who was named interim president of UCO in January 2023. UCO Earns 'Military Friendly' Gold Designation for the Second Consecutive Year UCO received national recognition for its commitment to military-connected students, according to Viqtory Media’s 2023-24 Military Friendly Schools list. Central was named a gold-level Military Friendly School in the category of public universities with more than 10,000 students, for the second consecutive year. UCO School of Engineering Celebrates Grand Opening of New Makerspace The UCO School of Engineering celebrated the official grand opening of its newly renovated makerspace. The makerspace will enhance existing engineering courses, provide a launchpad for new curriculum development in advanced manufacturing and help engineering students gain relevant skills for the workforce. It also provides students with a well-designed space to accommodate research and design needs.

UCO: Visit Central

The best way to Connect to Central and learn about UCO is to visit campus. With a University of Central Oklahoma student as your guide, the campus tour gives prospective students and parents the opportunity to see the campus first-hand and discover the many opportunities UCO offers. General tours are available starting at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walking tours last approximately two hours and include a 20-minute admission presentation. Sponsored groups are invited to tour UCO with a visit designed to meet the needs of each group. The maximum capacity for group tours is 100 total guests and are subject to availability. UCO's self-guided walking tour will guide participants through the heart of campus, from Central's original building, Old North and past UCO's most modern buildings on campus. UCO: Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment

Undergraduate - U.S. Citizen and Permanent Residents Undergraduate students who are US Citizens or Permanent Residents and wish to study at the University of Central Oklahoma can apply as a Freshman, Transfer, Concurrent, or additional student type. Test-Optional Admission UCO has been selected for a pilot program for test-optional admission through Spring 2026. Students may still submit ACT or SAT scores to be considered for academic scholarships. You do not have to complete your application in one session. An application fee of $40 will be charged once completed. Continue an Existing Undergraduate Application Undergraduate - International Students International students who are seeking to study in the United States on visas or are awaiting approval of U.S. Permanent Residency and wish to study undergraduate-level degrees or courses. You do not have to complete your application in one session. An Continue an Existing International Application (Undergraduate Only) Graduate - US Citizen and International Students U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Undocumented or DACA students and all students outside of the U.S. who wish to take graduate-level courses.
