Jetstar was terrible. They left us without boarding passes for the connecting flight for several hours, for no reason. They should have given us the boarding passes for the connecting flight, but instead we were stuck in a “customs limbo” in Ho Chi Minh airport until very shortly before we were to board. No reason for them not to give us the connecting boarding passes. The flight was delayed and changed of boarding gates without notifying the passengers; no updates on electronic boards. Everyone had to wait for a very long time and tired. No food was served even though our ticket covered a dinner set. I got to my hotel after midnight. Terrible experience with this flight Pros: Everything was handled very efficiently. Good signage at the airport for most things. Flew economy as the flight was only 2 hours. Free water bottles handed out with wet wipe but no food available. Cons: Collecting bags was easy and we’ll sign posted. Exit to the arrival hall was a bit confusing but we were directed to the appropriate gate (by colour of boarding pass) and baggage check removed when checked against luggage Pros: The flight was quick, limited turbulence, and the crew was very friendly and pleasant to fly with. The only negative was the plane itself. Cons: The plane smelt like fresh urine, chemicals, feces, and burning rubber. Simply put, the plane should not be in active rotation.
