Batting first on Monday, in a game that was delayed by 24 hours due to the weather, GT posted a formidable total of 214 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan starred for GT scoring 96 off 47 balls while Wriddhiman complimented him by scoring 54 off 39 balls. Rain appeared again to halt CSK's run chase and eventually, they had to chase 171 runs in 15 overs.
