V. Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won the Gold in Women’s and Men’s Singles, Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the third Indian gold of the day in Badminton. The medal rush continued with table tennis veteran Sharath Kamal adding another gold in the men’s singles. India finished fourth in the overall medals tally and finished with 61 medals - 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze.

India wrapped up the final day at the Commonwealth Games 2022 with four gold medals, one silver and a bronze. PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won their maiden CWG singles titles in badminton while Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty too won their first CWG men’s doubles gold. Meanwhile, Indian men's hockey team was unable to topple the dominant Aussies and settled for a silver. Ace table tennis player Sharath Kamal won his second singles gold, extending his overall medal tally to 13 at the Commonwealth Games. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, meanwhile, bagged his first CWG singles medal, a bronze. India had a fruitful campaign at Birmingham 2022, winning India won their first CWG medals in lawn bowls, a gold for the women’s fours and a silver for the men’s fours. Boxers Nitu Ghanghas, Amit Panghal and Nikhat Zareen won golds too. India won the silver medal in the inaugural women’s T20 cricket competition as well as a bronze medal in women’s hockey. They beat India 7-0 in the gold medal match and remain the only team in men's hockey to win a CWG gold.
