Delhi MCD Election Results 2022: AAP has won a majority in elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). AAP has won 134 seats, BJP 104, Congress 9 and Independent 3 in the 250-member MCD. Counting started 8 am under tight security. For several hours fortunes swung between BJP and AAP, with Congress nowhere in the picture. For a while BJP even topped the leads tally. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has crossed the majority mark of 126 in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elction, while the BJP has got 97, the latest State Election Commission figures show. Congress candidate Shagufta Chaudhary won Chauhan Banger, while AAP's transgender candidate Bobi won from Sultanpuri-A. NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday won over 130 seats in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections. Although AAP's seats were much below the number predicted by exit polls, the party managed to sail through 126 seats, the half-way mark in 250-seat MCD. The BJP managed to win over 100 seats while Congress won around nine seats.
