Final Destination 2 (2003)

Whilst heading onto the highway, Kimberly Corman has a vision of a huge car accident. Bringing the traffic to a halt, Kimberly is horrified when the accident actually happens. Kimberly links the occurrence with a similar event that occurred one year ago, on the same date that she had her premonition: the Flight 180 disaster. After speaking with Clear Rivers, the only remaining survivor of the Flight 180 disaster, Kimberly discovers that Death's pattern has been disturbed, meaning everyone who was originally supposed to die will now be killed in separate freak accidents. Kimberly and the remaining survivors must work with Clear to try and stop Death from repeating its process. — • After having a premonition that there will be a huge pileup on Route 23, Kimberly Corman tries to stop it from happening. She manages to save several people from being killed for the time being, but learns that, after the first survivor is killed in a freak accident, those that she saved are still on Death's list. Kimberly, along with Flight 180 Survivor Clear Rivers, must find a way to save the others from Death one more time. — • Locked away by her own choice in the perceived safety of a psychiatric hospital, the lone survivor from Final Destination lives in constant terror that Death is coming to claim her. She may be considered crazy, but she's not wrong. Death is moving toward suburban Route 23, heading south in Final Destination 2. Meanwhile, en route to a weekend getaway with her friend...

Every Death Scene From The Final Destination Movies, Ranked

39. The Final Destination: Nick O’Bannon, Lori Milligan, Janet Cunningham – Hit by truck Most would agree that The Final Destination is the weakest installment of the franchise that we’ve seen, and doing absolutely nothing to work in its defense is its super lame ending. There’s no real setup to speak of, and no real firm answers as to why Death is operating as it is – it’s just a dumb final moment where a runaway truck smashes into a restaurant. 38. The Final Destination: George Lanter – Run over by an ambulance As will be discussed later in this feature, it was excusable early on when the Final Destination franchise wiped someone out with a quick, single stroke, but the death of George Lanter in The Final Destination is just lame. It’s lazy to have the character just randomly hit by an ambulance, but it’s arguably even worse that it happens twice (especially because it’s not made clear why Nick has his premonition just prior to it, as he can’t do anything to stop it). 37. Final Destination 5: Dennis Lapman – Flying wrench impaled in head Final Destination 5 is full of awesome kills, with about half of them landing in the Top 15 of this list, but the death of Dennis Lapman is disappointing. This is a character who is killed in the bridge collapse premonition by being covered in burning tar, and his exit is simply the result of a wrench falling into piece of machinery before being impaled in his head. 36. Final Destination 3: Jason Wise, Carrie Dreyer – Roller coaster disa...

The Ending Of Every Final Destination Movie Explained

The "Final Destination" film series has earned a place in the pantheon of classic horror franchises thanks to its unique take on an old formula. Rather than a psychotic slasher cutting up teenage meatbags, the serial killer in these films is Death itself. Every movie in the series, from the 2000 original to 2011's "Final Destination 5," begins with a horrible accident that kills many people in very R-rated fashion. This is later revealed to be a premonition glimpsed by the lead character. After a suitable freak-out, the protagonist and several of their friends/co-workers/random strangers escape their fate ... or so they think. Over the course of each film, the survivors of these accidents are picked off, one by one. Furthermore, with each successive movie, the kills become increasingly elaborate and gory. Here, we find the appeal of the "Final Destination" movies: It isn't in the characters or their doomed efforts to elude Death, but in the deaths themselves. Across five films (with a sixth on the way, When Alex is proven right, the survivors are initially grateful for his premonition. However, when they start to die in freak accidents, they become paranoid and distrustful of one another. This fear is deepened by the appearance of William Bludworth (Tony Todd), a mysterious coroner who is suspiciously knowledgeable about the rules of death. One of the very few recurring characters in the series, Bludworth can be interpreted as an avatar of Death, or possibly a survivor of ...

Most of them are morons or jerks, making it difficult to care about their struggle with death. Of the new characters, only A. J. Cook's Kimberly elicits the slightest bit of sympathy." — Andrew Manning of Radio Free Entertainment positively distinguishing Cook's performance met mixed reviews among critics. TheMovieBoy.co...
