And while we happen to rank Samsung's phones highly when it comes to the critical task of taking photos, it's devices from Apple and Google that duke it out for the title of best camera phone overall. That leaves work to be done for Samsung, at least if it's going to keep its firm grip on the smartphone business. Years behind schedule, massive steel trusses arrive for new Artemis mobile launcher – Orlando Sentinel

The first shipment of large steel trusses for the mobile launcher 2 arrived by barge at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Thursday, June 1, 2023. The parts for the mobile launcher will take 43 barge shipments as construction on the base will begin this summer for first use on the Artemis IV mission later this decade. (NASA Handout) NASA’s Space Launch System that set the record for most powerful rocket to ever blast into orbit last November on the Artemis I mission left its mobile launcher in need of some repair before it can be used again. While work continues to get that launcher ready for next year’s crewed Artemis II mission, an even bigger mobile launcher will be needed for future launches, and NASA just got its hands on the first major steel trusses so it can begin construction on mobile launcher 2 (ML-2) later this summer. The need for a second mobile launcher is driven by what will be a version of SLS that’s 40 feet taller called the Block 1B. The height increase is due to SLS getting rid of what’s called the Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage (ICPS) used to propel the Orion space capsule to the moon in favor of the more powerful and roomier Exploration Upper Stage beginning with Artemis IV, a mission currently on NASA’s roadmap for no earlier than 2028. ML-2 is being constructed by primary contractor Bechtel National Inc. under the guidance of NASA’s Exploration Ground Systems team based at KSC. Thursday’s steel truss arrival was only the third of 43 set to make thei...

We've also seen what the Pixel 8 might look like and, well, it's not a big visual change from the Pixel 7, but that's already one of the more distinctive phones, so it makes sense that Google would stick with this design for a while. iPhone in 2023 — iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Ultra, iPhone SE 4 and more

For that reason, it should be no surprise that iPhone 15 rumors are already swirling at the start of the new year, as people try to get a bead on what Apple might plan for this year's fall phone release. But we're not in a holding pattern until that likely So at the start of what could be an eventful year for Apple's iPhone, here are the questions hanging over Apple's upcoming releases, whether it's the iPhone 15 or other potential additions to Apple's lineup. iPhone SE 4 renders (Image credit: Jon Prosser/Ian Zelbo) Add to that the fact that Google and Samsung are likely to produce new versions of their well-regarded midrange phones, and Apple risks getting shut out of that end of the market if the iPhone SE spends the year on the bench. But a new rumor claims it just might do that. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says iOS 17: What's coming to the iPhone in 2023?
