NEW DELHI: The BJP on Monday seized upon the serious allegations levelled by the Opposition's vice-presidential candidate Margaret Alva against Sonia Gandhi and the Nehru-Gandhi family to target the Congress.

On 8 April 2013, former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher, died of a stroke at the Ritz Hotel, London, at the age of 87. On 17 April, she was honoured with a ceremonial funeral. Due to polarised opinions about her achievements and legacy, the reaction to her death was mixed across the UK, including contrasting praise.

Opposition parties on Sunday decided to field former Rajasthan Governor Margaret Alva as their joint candidate for the Vice presidential election. 80-year-old Alva is expected to file her nomination papers on Tuesday, the last date for filing nominations for the August 6 election.
