Skoda Vision 7S previews seven

The Skoda badge has been replaced with the brand’s name spelled out in a new font, which sits above a full-width light bar that runs along the bonnet line and extends out to the daytime running lights. These form the upper part of a T-shaped lighting array about quad LED headlights. Beneath the new grille, seven cooling ducts are set into a bumper made from recycled tyres while 22-inch alloys sit within sharply squared off arches also lined with ex-tyres. The minimalist interior plays heavily on Skoda’s plans for a more digital interface and sustainable materials. Recycled tyres make another appearance - this time in the vehicle’s floor - while elsewhere the cabin upholstery is from sustainable sources and is a mix of artificial leather and recycled polyester yarns. At the centre of the dashboard is a 14.6-inch touchscreen mounted vertically, as in the Unlike regular seven-seaters, the 7S features three rows of two seats with a seventh, rear-facing child seat integrated into the very centre of the car, which the brand says is the safest place for the smallest passengers to travel. It’s likely that any production version will feature the more traditional 2-3-2 configuration. Skoda has long been famous for its simply clever features and the Vision 7S is no different, with magnetic smartphone mounts in the centre console and seat backs, magnetic surfaces where metal Skoda drinks bottles or a first-aid kit can be secured and neat backpacks that are magnetically attached to the...

Skoda to unveil Vision 7S SUV concept on August 30

Skoda Enyaq iV. • Skoda Vision 7S to have three row interior • Will feature an all-electric powertrain • Gets rugged SUV styling based on Modern Solid theme Skoda Vision 7S concept: rugged design expected The upcoming Skoda 7S concept’s front fascia seems to be more rugged than the Enyaq's, thanks to a large slotted skidplate that flows into the cladding around the wheel arches and side skirts. The slots are split into halves by a central orange segment with white text reading 'Modern Solid'. Above the skidplate are T-shaped headlights broken up into two square bulbs and eyebrow-like daytime running light strips. These meet with the bonnet shut-line and the colour-contrasting grille area, which is much smaller than that on the Enyaq. A rear-view camera features in place of a traditional door mirror on the driver's side, but is completely omitted on the opposite flank. A curved beltline wraps around the Vision 7S, flowing into a sharp rear end with the same T-shaped light motif as up front – appearing distinctly Range-Rover-esque thanks to the stacked square segments. A rear spoiler gives the car a sportier look, although – in the likely event the 7S concept eventually yields a production car – this could be reserved for high-end vRS versions. Chiselled low-profile wheels sit at each corner, appearing to be an evolution of the 'Regulus' design that is standard on the Enyaq. New Skoda Vision 7S concept revealed: price, specs and release date

This new seven-seater SUV will sit at the top of Skoda’s EV lineup, offering an alternative to cars such as the upcoming New Skoda Vision 7S concept design The new Skoda Vision 7S previews an all-new design language for the brand, including a new Skoda logo which is spelled out across the bonnet. There’s a bold design up front with distinctive T-shaped headlamps, a rugged-looking bumper and a slim grille. Down the sides you’ll find squared-off wheel arches and massive 22-inch alloys, as well as flush door handles. This tough appearance is continued at the rear of the car, with a similar bumper design featuring vertical slats as well as some slim LED lights. A large roof spoiler completes the look. New Skoda Vision 7S concept interior The Skoda Vision 7S concept has a futuristic cabin to match the outlandish exterior. With seating for seven, the interior can be configured in two different ways. You have your usual driving mode, as well as a ‘Relax’ setting. This pushes the steering wheel away from you, the seats rotate and recline and the huge 14.6-inch screen rotates so you and your passengers can enjoy a film while waiting for the car to charge. The overall design is pretty minimalistic, with only a few dials for the climate control to be found in the centre console. A digital drivers display is featured above the oblong steering wheel as well. This concept is also capable of 200kW fast charging, which will likely allow for a 10-80% top up in less than half an hour. New S...

August 2022 in Prag.
